My colleagues have been trying to roll out ‘one stop’ data dashboards for a little while now. Main obstacle seems to be that people don’t find it easy to articulate what a useful data dashboard would look like. (I wonder where we’d sit on the data maturity index??.)

I’m reminded of that point about data disfluency — making data hard(er) to digest so that you engage with it and understand it rather than just passively consume it. However, I also understand that most people don’t think they have the luxury of time to wrestle with data, particularly if it’s not perceived as a core part of their job to do so.

To summarise.. it’s tricky! :)
